LJF engineering ltd manufacture augers in various sizes, capable of carrying a range of materials.

Augers are most commonly used to convey materials on an incline. Traditional screw conveyors will suffer from product roll back if installed at an angle above 12.5 degrees. Our augers can be installed at all angles up to vertical to handle feed materials (grain, minerals, blends and mixed feed).
Capacities vary depending on the auger diameter and operating speed. We manufacture a 75mm diameter auger which when operated at slow speed, can be used for low inclusion, high accuracy feed rates, this is essential on high value products. Inverter drives can be added to give variable control making the process faster and more accurate.

LJF engineering augers are manufactured from mild or stainless steel. Using only top of the range materials ensures the augers are built to last, reducing your maintenance costs and increasing your OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) and maximising your return on your investment.

We willl assess the density, abrasiveness and corrosive nature of the material to be handled to ensure we design and manufacture the best solution. Our augers range from 75mm to 450mm diameter and can be designed to carry a range of feed materials from whole wheat to heavy minerals.
